South Carolina Trip

Hello All, my family of four is planning on traveling to South Carolina this August and not sure where we want to go. Our girls are 9 and 10 and they love the beach and boogie boarding. We have have had good luck with the Garden City area, but we would like to try something new. I was thinking either Hilton Head, or the Charleston area like Kiawah Island, ect. We are also looking for different family activities. Any ideas?

Don't pick Hilton Head!

If your kids like boogie boarding, they will be very very upset with HIlton Head, the waves are pitiful. Sit in a bathtub and move your hand around, thats about as extreme as the waves get, its pretty sad.

Some good boogie boarding can be found anywhere along the Grand Strand, and then one of my fav spots is Isle of Palms, big enough waves to be fun but still safe, there's also some good beach combing which HHI lacks as well.
