For real fishing head down to Murrell's Inlet to Captain (Richard's - the sensor won't let me post the name short for Richard as it considers it profanity) Marina for a party boat trip or charter boat depending on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. Pier fishing success has dropped way off over the last 20 years or so with the exception of a few seasonal runs of different species.

There is a waterfront "boardwalk" that runs along Murrell's Inlet's restauarant row; the one end is at the Dirty Dog Saloon & there is a large, bulkheaded parking lot there with a small pier.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are many nice hotels near this area...you can check Garden City which is on the other side of the inlet.

MI is about 6 or 7 miles south of the southern end of MB.

Try www.condo-world.com. We rented a 3 BR, OF condo in Sept. for $499. This place includes linens and departure cleaning in their price. We are staying at the Water Pointe 2. Friends have stayed and like it.

We have visited Myrtle Beach for the last three summers. We stayed at The Sea Mist for the those visits and it was a nice resort with a lot to do for the kids. But this year we'll be staying at a new place named The South Wind and it is all oceanfront with a variety of room sizes for a lrage group such as yours. You may want to check it out at www.thesouthwind.com. Good Luck!
