Lodging in Myrtle Beach

What hotels are within walking distance of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Also, does anyone know how crowded Myrtle Beach is during Thanksgiving?

The closest oceanfront resort to the Convention Center is The Breakers, which is about a half mile away. Here's a link to Tripadvisor reviews:

If you scroll down the page and click on the map along the right side, you'll see other resorts in that same area and can look at their reviews. Haven't stayed at the Breakers, but it is often recommended on this forum.

Here's some info on the water and air temps at Thanksgiving. www.myrtlebeachweather.com/temperatures.html

I'm sure it's not as crowded in Myrtle Beach at Thanksgiving as it is going to be in Hillsville on Labor Day weekend!

Breakers might be the largest "resort" but there is also Sandcastle at the Pavillion, Camelot, Atlantica, Meridian Plaza that are in the same area and just as close. Thanksgiving is a great time to go. People will be there, but not crazy crowded at all. Good rates for all the hotels too. Weather is "iffy". Might be 70's and sunny....might be 50's and rainy and windy. Never know.

I would look into The Breakers and Camelot.

Breakers would probably give you the best bang for the buck: best combination of location and facilities.
