No matter how good of friends you are, sometimes rental homes become very small, you have less privacy then you would with a condo or resort room. Try Dunes Village, reviews are always good. Located in very nice area of MB IMO. Maybe not the biggest outdoor pool, but then ocean front your pool sizes are more limited. I believe the Sheraton Broadway Plantation, not ocean front, 1 mile from beach has large outdoor pool area, lazy river, indoor pool, basketball court, tennis courts, mini putt putt, game room, VERY nice condo rooms, but not ocean front. Also I think Barefoot Resorts claims to have the largest outdoor pool in the area, again not ocean front.

You posted in NMB, and the resorts I told you about are in MB, although Dunes Village is in MB Northern area. We have the city of MB and the city of NMB.

Thnak you so much for the response....another question is... what is better Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle...I guess we want to be close to alot of amusements etc for the kids....I agree a house can get cramped....What is the nicest Condo Oceanfront?

6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. There are things to do in both places. IMO Broadway at the Beach(entertainment/shopping/restaurant) venue has more things to do that would appeal to wide range of ages. Barefoot Landing has some similar things but less things to do for younger children then Broadway. MB is a drive destination, its almost impossible to stay anywhere and not have to drive. I personally like the areas of MB around 48th Ave North to 79th North. I also like the Ocean Blvd North area in North MB (Ocean Drive/Cherry Grove). There are many nice hotels/condos/houses. How many bedrooms are you needing? If you wanted a house, there are many with pools. Little more info on dates/$ amount could provide you better info.

Look at a 4 bedroom condo at Crescent Shores in North Myrtle Beach; sleeps up to 12-14 with 3 and 4 full baths. Most of the 3 bedrooms sleep up to 12 with 3 baths. King and queen beds.

Most of the NMB realties have condos there too.

I certainly understand you wanting to not drive as much, every person on here who posts says the same thing. Grand Strand is basically 60 miles long and there are things to do from one end to the other. We have 1 amusement park, Family Kingdom, its an older park, that most people who post on here who have gone, have been less then impressed. We are building a new Hard Rock Theme Park, to open sometime in 2008, I would predict after that Family Kingdom will close down. There are 100's of Putt Putts so no problem finding one of those, 2 large water parks, one in MB and one in Surfside, (small one across from Family Kingdom) You could stay in North MB and be closer to Barefoot Landing, but you will still want to drive to MB, you could stay in MB and be closer to Broadway at the Beach (Broadway has small amusement park with some of the rides from the Old pavillion) a Waterpark, Nascar Speedpark, Family Kingdom and you will want to drive to Restaurant Row, Barefoot Landing and Tanger Outlets in North MB.

Last week was the busiest week at the beach all summer, 97% occupancy. Everyone trying to get that last vacation in before school starts. So next year August is busy month and you would want to get accomodations settled pretty quick.
