Just wondering if there is a place in town for this type of music...
If you're here on a Friday evening, head up to the Mountain Opry on Signal Mountain.
Thanks. We’ll be there tomorrow (Thursday) , so I’ll have a look at the site you gave me.
Thursday, May 24
Live Music at the Westin Hotel at the Dorato Bar & Alchemy Bar, 6-9pm
Jimmy Harris Live at The Palms, 7pm
Keepin' It Local Thursdays - The Social, 8-11pm
Live Bluegrass Thursdays at Whole Foods, 6:30-8:30pm
Thursday Night Jazz, St. John's Restaurant, 6-9pm
The Acoustical Music of Toby Hewitt on The Back Porch, 7-10pm
Open Mic Night at City Cafe, 8pm
Bluegrass & Country Jam, Grace Nazarene Church, 6:30pm
Cold War Kids, The Signal, 8:30pm
The Comedy Catch Presents Derrick Tennant, 7:30pm
Out of this list I would pick Whole Foods (believe it or not) early and then move on to the Feed. But if you are ever here on a Friday- agree that mountain opry is the place for the “real McCoy”
Thanks for the responses. We’ve decided to stay until Saturday so we’re going to take your advice and head to Signal Mountain.Edited: 24 May 2018, 21:13
Wise choice! There are a few dinner options- el matate Mexican, off the grill barbeque- smoked meats on site- on your way to the opry. The grocery store Pruett’s has a great hot bar, salad bar and pizza bar and you can sit on their patio. Just a block out of the way is hummingbirds - great “new” Italian dishes- a little fancier. No bar at the opry, but el matate has drinks and hummingbirds has wine and beer. Enjoy!!
Thanks everyone..much appreciated,
