Where to Eat?

We are staying at the Embassy Suites in Cool Springs this weekend. Where should we eat? Two adults - money not an issue. Like to eat at a non-chain place with few kids.

May I suggest Red Pony and Sol in downtown Franklin? Both are owned by the same person and have gotten rave reviews. If you are into more "downhome" country style cooking, try Pucketts.

Cool Springs has something for every taste, well almost!?!?! Some good (non-chain) offerings in Cool Springs could include breakfast at Noshville Deli, lunch at Calypso Cafe, or dinner at Boscos.

Venture on down to Franklin for an afternoon stroll and lunch at Meridee's Breadbasket, as soon as you walk in the door your senses will be delighted!

I would also recommend Puckett's, perhaps while you are here they may have a dinner/music show night.

Check out their web site for particulars, some Saturday night dinners are one price for dinner/show which could run about $30 each and then alternate Saturday nights are simply $10 cover. For a more dress-up occassion the Red Pony is an excellent choice for tasty food with a twist and flair!

Also look for the Merchantile near Ben and Jerry's;

and if you are REALLY hungry try Monell's over in the old jail building on Bridge Street. You will be overwhelmed by the assortment of vegetables and meats served family style until you say, Enough!!

Wherever you go enjoy yourself!
