Ferry tickets online beforehand or buy in Galway?

I see that I can book ferry tickets online for a 10% discount to Inishmore, including the bus from Galway. Is it better to do this or buy tickets when we arrive in Galway two days before we take the ferry? It sounds like we pick the ferry tickets up in Galway at the ferry office if we buy them online? Anyone want to tell me their experience?

Honestly...Wait and see what the weather is likely to be.

Sorry on your other thread you have reservations... In that case take the discount.

Thanks, we're going for two nights and we're from Seattle, so a little spring rain doesn't bother us. We're used to it.

But keep in mind that sometimes the ferry doesn't run due to weather, this happened to us in Sept from Doolin....but those are smaller ferries than you will take.

We did the trip out of Galway in 2006 and it was very easy to get to the office, it was just across the street and a bit down from the Park House Hotel, the same place where the bus leaves from. We had a VERY rough crossing in 2006, most of the crew was even sea sick! Hoping for smooth sailing for you!
