Getting out of Glendalough

We're taking a bus from Dublin to Glendalough, but then want to get from there to County Waterford. Is there a local taxi?

Thats around seventy km away. Taxi man will love you all his bdays at once. Get the bus into bray then express bus to wexford then on to waterford. But you could be faster getting back to hueston station then train down to waterford.

Here the link to the direct Bus Eireann service [Route 5] from east Wicklow to Waterford. You will have to get from Glendalough to Bray Sunnybank or Ashford; www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1360752674-005.pdf

If you're staying over in Glendalough and leaving there in the morning an option is to take the Wicklow Way bus to Rathdrum:

Then a train from Rathdrum to Wexford :

A scenic journey and worth doing.

and a bus from Wexford station across to Waterford:

But this routeing wouldn't work if leaving Glendalough in the evening.

Hope you have an enjoyable trip.
