Something special,What to do & where to eat?

Hi my husband and I are visiting Jersey during Easter weekend. Ive been before when i was 10, I guess things will have changed a little! Hubs has never been. He is celebrating his 40th whilst visiting and we are also having a belated honeymoon without our 3 kids! Would love to do something kinda special for his b-day. Has any one got any ideas or advice please. We are staying at the raddisson. Thank you in advance. Mrs M W.

If you are staying at the Radisson, you are within easy walking distance of some excellent restaurants. Bohemia at 'The Club Hotel' is Michelin starred and has an outstanding reputation. Their kitchen table which can take 4 people and up to six with a little squeeze is a novel experience as you are almost sat in the kitchen and given exquisite food whilst watching the action. It costs and would be rather special but needs booking well in advance. Sunday lunch at Scirocco at 'The Royal Yacht' is sought after and again, bookings need to be made well in advance. It is an eat all you want buffet with an exquisite twist, not your normal fayre! The Champagne Bar at The Grand is very atmospheric for celebratory drinks before going to 'Tassili' the fine dining restaurant at The Grand. For something a little cheaper but again, within very easy walking distance of the Radisson is the Harbour restaurant at the Pomme D'Or on a Friday night when they do their seafood buffet. Approximately £20 a head for an eat all you want seafood starter, followed by a range of main courses with carvery and a further array of puddings! You can eat yourself to distraction if you want and if you get a window seat it will be accompanied by views over Liberation Square. A short taxi ride away is Longueville Manor, well worth booking for lunch or dinner, dinner is expensive but well worth it for a special occasion. There are lots of other restaurants if you want to drive or get a taxi but with such a range in close proximity to your hotel, the above are worth considering. Whatever you do, make a decision and book well in advance as they all book up quickly, particuarly over the Easter period. In fact, getting a reservation at these top places may already be getting difficult. For general fun, just get a hire car for the day if you haven't already arranged one and just do an island tour. This can take you all day and can get you to lots of little beaches and coves as well as the major sites such as St. Quen's Bay etc. There is lots of advice on this site from other posters so a good read will give lots of suggestions.
