Hello Again

mrkeen.. What areas were the houses in that you looked at in Maryville? We had a little snow flurry the other day.The snow melted as soon as it hit the ground but it was pretty to see anyway.I'm really enjoying it here and the people have been very friendly. This might be the place I settle down in, but I'll give it a year before I deceide. When they rebuild the Bay Bridge in BSL I'll probably go back to visit the coast. As June approaches I know that people there are getting anxious to see what the hurricane season has in store for them. Its not a great way to have to live.Yes,lets keep in touch and if you have the time on one of your visits maybe we can meet for lunch.Take care and good luck in your search....Arnel

1. Re: Hello Again

Arnel: We were in the county (Blount) outside the city limits of Maryville. Went to Friendsville, and Seymour. In Knox. went along 168 (Gov Sevier Hwy), past Chapman Hwy. There is a new SD there. We went into the hills near Monroe Cty.

We will make another visit, maybe in May.

The coast is still in the same shape it was three months ago. Went east of the Bay from I-10, down to Gulfport and west along 90.

Not much happening, cleanup still going on, most things are on day to day progress. Some casino's open (Back Bay Biloxi area), but on the beach it is still bleak.

The Bay bridge is a ways off from rebuilding.

Glad you like it there, I am sure we will whenever we find something to purchase. We are not really sure where it will be, housing there is abundant, but we cannot seem to find something we really like to date. Time will tell.

Good to hear from you.
