Lodge/Log Cabin

Hi

We are looking for a log cabin for New Year week in this area but would consider any in Scotland.

Ideally we would like the following at a reasonable price (??)

Needs to allow two pets

Suitable for children

Outdoor Hot Tub

Sleeps at least 4 adults

TV/DVD

Great Views - overlooking something like a Loch or River

Anyone with any ideas? All responses greatly received!

Thanks

Not but Loch Lomond but there are very nice lodges near Crieff in Perthshire which tick most of the boxes but not all I'm afraid

www.monzievaird.com - pronounced moneevayrd - the z is silent

Another lochside location is on Loch Tay

www.bracken-lodges.com

Another is Loch Tay Highland Lodges

www.lochtay-vacations.co.uk

Difficult to get somewhere that has all you have listed....might have to compromise on the hot tub

Just a thought not lochside or near a river but Crieff Hydro are well geared up for families and have self-catering lodges where you can use the facilities in the hotel. www.crieffhydro.com

I wouldn't hang about though as New Year breaks are very popular and tend to book up well in advance.

One of the lodges here http://www.drummohr.org/ has a hot tub but it's in East Lothian. Can't imagine anything in the New Year week being reasoably priced except at the last minute.

We book our New Year week in January for the following year and find that lots of places are already booked. If you find something in any area I would consider booking it as htere won't be much left by now.

I stayed in a log cabin run by the Forestry Commission in The Trossachs four years ago:

forest-holidays.com/….aspx

They were going to be demolishing all of the cabins at the end of that season and rebuilding them so they are presumably all relatively new now - they were a bit tired! Perfect location, though.

Loch Tay highland lodges are nice. If you go for hogmany I'm night shift in Killin. They usually have fireworks at the Falls of Dochart.

Hello,

I live very close to Luss, Loch Lomond and can highly recommednd Inverbeg Holiday Park, check out their wesite, the lodges/cabins are lovely and fit all your criteria except the Hot tub on the decking.

Happy Holidays.
