Is it better to go by train or bus? What is the cost of each?
At a guess it involves taking a train to Carmarthen then a bus from there.
A quick Google says that Ffoshelig Coaches runs from Carmarthen to Laugharne
Wouldn't expect it to be very fast - if you can do it in much under 6 hours I'd be surprised as it's 4 hours to Carmarthen
Train cost will be anything from £25 to £50 one way depending on when you bookEdited: 07 February 2011, 20:45
National Express coaches are only cheaper if you are over 60 or under 16. You have to book in advance. Otherwise an advance ticket on the train is much cheaper, to get the best price you need to buy 12 weeks before travel.
Coach is nice and just maybe a bit cheaper, but would do what Lelog says, book ahead and have the comfort and price of the train, sometimes you have to change at Swansea but thats no big deal
get up and have a walk round when you want it on the train, about 4 hours, then in Carmarthen the 222 bus service runs about 7 times a day from the train station to laugharne, about £2 fare.
ps,If I am around then ,will pick you up and take you there
