There are lots of ideas in the Inside Nashville pages here on Tripadvisor: tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g55229-Activitie…

There are also great ideas in several recent forum threads. "Must see's for 1 day in nashville": tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g55229-i154-k24277…

We just got back and stayed one night at the Gaylord in Opry land. It is an awesome hotel. Simply beautiful. We spent the first afternoon just walking around the resort and playing in the pool and hot tub. We spent a few hours at the indoor heated pool and the outdoor hot tub. It was 40 degree F (approximately 4 degree C) so we had the hot tub to ourselves. It was invigorating. We left the hotel at 6:30 PM after the water fountain show that was breathtaking. Went to dinner down town and then bar hopped up 2nd Ave. We should have bar hopped up Broadway. We only saw one free band on 2nd at the beaver Run saloon. They were awesome, but I think Broadway has more live free shows. Maybe next time. Before we headed outta town in the afternoon of the next day we walked over to the mall and just visited the aquarium. It is worth the time if you are in the area. Then we went back down town and took a one hour heated trolley tour for $10 per person that departed from a booth next to the Hard Rock café. Well worth the $10.00. We also walked up Broadway and caught a few live shows. Only for a few minutes each as we had to leave town at 4PM.
