Husbands Surprise 30th

Hi i put a post on here before and you asked for some more specific ideas s ohere goes.

We are looking at going the 2nd Spetember till the 5th September

budget of £550 each this will need to include hotel car hire and flights.

We would like a hotel that offers free parking and that is not right in the centre but not to far out that may mean walking distance if possible?

We would like to go to Jack daniels factory and would welcome any other ideas that you have.

Please help as lookni at all the hotels on her and getting really confused.

thank you in advance

The area you will want to look at on here is Vanderbilt, West End. That is your best chance for free parking and will save you between $12-20 per day which is the normal rate for the downtown hotels. Unfortunately you will not be within walking distance of downtown attractions which will mean you will have to pay to park when you visit downtown which can run anywhere between $5-10 as long as there is not an event downtown.

If you are wanting to go to the Jack Daniels Distillery it is pretty far from downtown so its good you will have a car.

There are lots of free things to enjoy in nashville so check out the things to do sections. I also know on occassion some of the museums including Frist and Country Music offer free days so make sure to check into that as well.

thank you for your help

do you think it would be better to stay downtown if so what hotels do you recommend for reasonable budget, if not where to stay otherewise.

Also if we stayed slightly out of the ami area would we be able to get taxis easily and if so how much would this cost.

i need to book this by the weekend really as bday on the 8th.

All really wantto do is take hine to jack daniels and then enjoy the rest nashville has to offer in the sense of enjoying good food etc

thank you

Ellyanne is spot on about the Vanderbilt / West End area. Most all the hotels have free parking and the hotel rates are a little cheaper than downtown. Check their websites or phone / email them to be sure. Here's a neat link to a TripAdvisor map of the hotels in the area: http://tinyurl.com/2vxj444 When you phone or email the hotel, be sure to ask them if they have a shuttle to downtown, and if not, how much a taxi would be.

Another option is the free shuttle. On the TA map at the link above, you will notice two hotels at the upper right a little away from the others. From those two hotels you can easily walk to the east about a couple of blocks to the corner of 12th Avenue South and Demonbreun Street and catch the free shuttle that will take you downtown and back. It runs each evening until midnight.
