This hotel is close to the Vanderbilt campus on Elliston place, which is a pretty convenient location for dining and activities on the campus, but not really close to the downtown tourist attractons like the clubs, the Country Music Hall of Fame or the Ryman.

If you're wanting to stay downtown and prefer Hampton Inns, try the Hampton Inn & Suites on Church street. It's across from the downtown library, near the Ryman, close to Broadway and within walking distance of both the Hall of Fame and 2nd Avenue.

Hi wendyemma,

Are you wanting to be within walking distance of the action, will you have a vehicle rented or do you want to hire a taxi?

The area you mention is convenient to drive to or hire a taxi. A taxi would probably be around $8 - $10 USD on way. Parking downtown would probably be about the same, but only once.

Or, stay downtown within walking distance, as vegas-guide mentioned.

Let us know so we can be more specific with our suggestions.

Thanks!

Bob

Check out the Hampton Inn on Church, the Renaissance, the Marriott Courtyard, the Sheraton, the Hilton, the Hermitage, the Holiday Inn Express. Look on www.hotels.com for something located "downtown".

If money were no object, the Hermitage. Beyond that, I don't have an opinion, as I don't stay in hotels in Nashville. This forum has many helpful review from recent guests.
