Things to do with the grandkids

I'll be driving to Nashville in a few weeks to visist with my kids and grandkids. They live about 30 miles West of Nashville. I have been going to visit them for years, but have never had much time to explore Nashville.

What would be something great to do wtih the kids ages 11 to 16? Wh have been to Opry Mills Mall and the Science Center.

Thanks in advance for any help...

Might they like a boat ride on the General Jackson? The Zoo? Fort Nashborough? Even though many kids aren't crazy about art museums, the outdoor Chihuly glass installations at Cheekwood are pretty amazing.

Have you been to the museum on the ground floor of TPAC?

Easy walking trails at Radnor Lake; sometimes you can see deer up close.

Hockey game, historic Franklin, Vanderbilt football or basketball all rate high with my teens.

My kids enjoyed the Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, and the Carter House and Carnton in Franklin when they were that age.

Thanks for all the great ideas.

Has anyone gone on Duck Tour? We did it in Boston and the grandchild I had with me there loved it.

The best advise I can give you is to take them to Pigeon Forge! LoL

The duck tour doesn't get great reviews on this forum.

Don't I wish I could. We go to Pigeon Forge every year for a few days. all of us meet there. We rent a log cabin, usually the Log Wild from American Patriot. and we have a great time.....
