Can someone please enlighten me on the whole Fain Fair week thing? Are there different venues and different activities besides concerts? Do you buy a single ticket for the entire event or are there seperete events? Also, does it crowd up the downtown area significantly more during that week?

The CMA Music Fest will be centered Downtown with activities at The Coliseum, Riverfront Park, The Hall of Fame, Nashville Convention Center and The Symphony Hall parking lot just to name a few. There are numerous Fan Club events that different performers or groups also host at this time.

The tickets are for all of the shows and events during the entire 4 day music fest.

Yes, downtown is significantly more crowded during Fan Fair, so much that some locals who normally go downtown to hear bands avoid the area altogether.

We're coming over from the UK for our first ever Fan Fair/CMA Musicfest. Any hints and tips on what to wear, where to go, things not to be missed? We're staying at the Doubletree - will we need the car or is everything walkable?

From the Doubletree, everything should be walkable, a lot easier than with a car. CMA music Fest usually offers a free shuttle to the events that should run close to the Doubletree. As for weather in early June, it will be warm, I would plan on comfort, shorts, golf shirt, etc. Keep in mind, Nashville is hilly, so wear comfortable walking shoes.

Have fun, and welcome to Nashville.
