Birthday Dinner

I will be visiting Nashville on my birthday with my husband and another couple , and my five year old daughter, we are staying at the Opryland Hotel and I would like a nice birthday steak dinner.

I know about Old Hickory but didn't think I could take my daughter there, any other suggestions good for kids?

A few months back we celebrated my daughter's birthday at Ravello in the Opryland Hotel. It was a delightful experience and they offer a nice varied menu (steaks too!) + gellato! If you can get away from the Opryland facililty, you will likely find some very good, if not excellent dining options in Nashville and East Nashville particularly!!

Not sure why you think you can't take your daughter to the steakhouse in the hotel?

In any event, the top steak place in Nashville is Kayne Prime, in The Gulch area of Nashville. Most of the good indie restaurants also serve steak: Look at The Southern in particular. There is also The Palm (a family-owned chain) in the Hilton Hotel downtown. We also have the usual chains: Fleming's, Mortons, etc.
