Random question for whoever has an answer...

Hey all, not sure if you get this kind of question much, but does Dallas feel the effects of Hurricanes in the Gulf? We are flying to Mexico next week, and are worried enough about the weather IN Mexico, and it just dawned on us that we are flying through Dallas to get there. Any info would be awesome. Thanks!

Agreed -

Just rain if anything. Depending on when you are traveling next week, the storm will have already passed through, so your MX trip should be fine.

If it is a major hurricane, in addition to the wind and rain, the hotels also fill up with evacuees. If you are flying over or have a short layover, then there is no problem. If you have an overnight layover for some reason, then you might have a hard time finding a room.
