Lunch near 6th floor museum and Dealy plaza

Flying in to DFW and driving to Houston, but want to stop at the 6thFloor museum and Dealy Plaza and have lunch before heading south. I know there is a cafe at the museum but any other suggestions for a nice but not too expensive or drawn out lunch nearby. Thanks.

The Hard Rock Cafe is close by but the music is deafening.

Cindis Deli is one of my favorites Notice that this location closes at 3pm so you need to get there to be seated before 2:30pm. You can google her and see her prices.

I'd drive through downtown, east on Main or Commerce to Deep Ellum, immediately east of Hwy 75/Central Expressway. There you will find many befitting options. Here are a few. My choices would be All Good or Cane Rosso, but certainly nothing wrong with the others.

All Good Cafe - plates, sandwiches (locally sourced ingredients)

Twisted Root Burger (beef and varying game meats)

Angry Dog (Hot Dog) - Burgers, sandwiches, plates

Monica's Aca y Alla - Mexican

Il Cane Rosso - wood-fired oven pizza. (imported and locally sourced ingredients)

You can google any of these for menu and specifics.

If you enjoy freshly made cheeses, Mozzarella Co is also in the immediate area (not just Mozz). Another unique option is the Eight Track Museum. http://www.mozzco.com/ http://www.eighttrackmuseum.org/home.html

The museum is a couple of blocks from shops and restaurants called the West End. Here's a list of nice restaurants:

On the same website, click on "Getting There" and you'll see a map of the entire area including the museum.

If you're into Tex-Mex there's an El Fenix close by that we eat at fairly regularly. It's basic Tex-Mex with good pricing. You'll see some negative reviews on this page, but we've been going there for 20 years and haven't been unhappy with a meal, yet.
