Location for a wedding!

Hello, we are trying to find a inexpensive location for a wedding in the Dallas, Plano area! The wedding is for October of this year and the budget is 4 grand or less. We have family that will cook the food and do the decorations. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Plano has nice parks - see what they have for rentals. You might need to rent a tent. It will be difficult to rent an event space as they often have limitations on caterers and won't allow you to bring your own food.

Basically you are looking at $40-80/person depending on attendance. You could try Marie Gabrielle restaurant in the Harwood District of Dallas.

Heritage Village at Old City Park has some nice options, but may be pricier than you wish. Caterers are required, if you have the reception there. Have you considered splitting up the wedding and reception locations? I've been to weddings where the events were at different locations and thought it was fine.

If the dates fit, Winfrey Point on White Rock might be perfect, as you are free to do as you wish with food, and the views are spectacular, out by the lake. These facilities rent by the hour, with some minimum requirements (4 hrs for buildings), and alcohol is allowed with certain restrictions...

Our church has events at city parks and we just reserve the space, but it's not as nice as the park options by White Rock Lake. You can check out other Dallas parks, as well as parks in Plano and Frisco.

Thanks everyone for the awesome suggestions! My son is leaving for service in December so we're trying to get it done before he goes. Still looking and taking suggestions, we just want a lot of options. Thanks

Since you are in the area, Cottonwood Park in Richardson (near SE corner of BeltLine and Coit) is an option. It's a "mature", well maintained city park and as such, has remarkable green space, a creek with bridge crossing, small pavilion etc. Since you're in Plano, it'd be worth a drive to just east of Coit on the south side of Belt Line.
