Downtown Dallas hotel

Primarily looking at either the Crowne Plaza or Hotel Indigo. Which would you choose given main priority is a base for sightseeing and fitness room at the hotel. Nearby retaurants and entertainment are pluses.

Any grocery stores downtown? A place to pick up a few items for the room?

I would definitely go with the Indigo- Crowne Plaza is quite dated.

Urban Orchard Market opens September 26 at 1500 Jackson in the old Urban Market space. It is listed as a specialty market so don't know exactly what they will be carrying.

Thanks poodleone. Was leaning towards indigo already. I will definitely stop by urban orchard market. It's right around the corner from the hotel and should have some basic deli foods for the room.

The Hotel Indigo is so cute and near the Main Street Park. You can grab snacks at the Urban Ochard (mentioned above) but you can also grab and go at the stores on Main Street (CVS and 7-11). The Farmers Market is also 4-6 blocks from the Indigo. Fresh Fruits and snacks are available there too. Enjoy !

Thanks, Poodleone for info on Urban Orchard Market. Looks awesome.

Here is some new info on it and they have very nice Facebook page:

One block from Magnolia Hotel, The Adolphus and The Joule.

Two or 3 blocks from Crowne Plaza and Aloft Dallas Downtown
