Moody Gardens Hotel

Looking for a VERY nice resort hotel with a great pool. Various ages 2yr.-85yr. Stayed at the San Luis years ago, but the rooms smelled musty; do they still? Is the Moody Gardens Hotel something for everyone and "first class"? The posts I have read mainly talk about it being expensive....

We stayed at the Moody Gardens hotel last summer. It is a great place and has an awesome pool. The rooms are very nice and quiet. The rooms have queen size beds and are a very good size. The pool is large and has many different depth levels for all ages.

The kids will LOVE it. There are daily activities, not to mention a jumper, clowns and nightly smores. There are usually live bands by the pool in the evening and even a pool side grill for burgers or dogs.

We just visited Moody Garden's Palm Springs water park last week. We were told that if you're staying at the hotel you have free admission to the park! Unfortunately, we were not staying there this trip.

I would definitely recommend it over any seawall hotel. You can always drive to the beach and it'll probably be easier than having to walk across the highway anyway. Book through the galveston.com site. We found a very good rate there.

Have a great trip!
