cruise along the beach?

Hi we wil be going to galveston next week, is it possible to drive/cruise and check out beaches along the way in Galveston? If so, what beach is on the way that you would recommend? Should we just drive along the seawall?

Which beach that is good for laying down, swim, sunbath and just enjoy beach atmosphere there?

Driving along the seawall will allow you to see most beaches. All beaches are good for what you are looking for. Stewart and East beaches will give you a more "beachy" scene, but they are all good. Stewart has concessions and restrooms, which could be a plus for you.

There are also places along the Seawall where you can rent bicycles that fit several people with an awning overhead. Nice way to get up and down the seawall riding on the sidewalk. You can't miss the places that rent these.
