suggestions on activities in grapevine

Im attending a conference at the end of feb in grapevine with a colleague. I was wondering if i should hang around a day or two or just head to blue fin or monterey. I like nature (lakes, mountains, coasts) is it worthwhile to stay in grapevine?

I'm not sure Grapevine can compare with Monterey :), but Grapevine is kind of neat little Texas town. Situated next to a lake, though in Feb, there won't be much activity unless you enjoy horseback riding. Grapevine's very walkable Main Street is enjoyable for many - filled with boutique/curio shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms (try some TX vintages) and a couple of studio/galleries (Vetro Glass is wonderful). Hippop makes a cup of hot drinking chocolate prepared from a local chocolatier and it is delicious! If over the weekend, there is a vintage rail that makes a day trip to Fort Worth's Stockyards, allowing a couple of hours to visit before the return to G'vine (if a pleasant day, have a hamburger at Love Shack)

Grapevine's trolley service circulates throughout town, 7 day's a week. In addition, most hotels run their own complimentary shuttle. grapevinetexasusa.com/about-grapevine/…

I've never been, but there is a small botanical garden in Grapevine - not sure what it would have to offer in Feb. www.grapevinetxonline.com/botanical-gardens/ Where ever you land..... have fun!
