Houston Space Center

Is there enough things to do here to keep a 5 year old entertained?

I think so, but the kid might get bored during the tours - which means the adults (or at least one adult) will have to miss them. There is one area with a lot of interactive things plus some really nice presentations where they get the kids involved.

Hi,

There are some hands on activities, and I think your child would be fine for about 90 mminutes there. We also enjoy going over to the Moody Gardens Aquarium.

The penguin habitat; where you can see the penguins from the upper level,, and below the water, is wonderful, and the kids love to spend a bit of time there, as there is constant activity.

You all can then head to the Seawall to the The Spot for burgers and salads, or go the The Sunflower Cafe, as you can enjoy some of the eclectic and colorful homes that are native to that part of Galveston (The Strand), and the Sunflower has great food, a bakery, and an outdoor patio, if the weather is good.

Have fun!
