Where in Bermuda can you buy a guitar or Amp.

My husband is a musician and he is always looking for instruments. We will be in Bermuda in Oct. and we were wondering if there is a place to purchase musical instruments. Any suggestions

There's a shop called the MUSIC BOX, out at 58 Reid Street (nr: Chancery Lane 'stepped' pedestrian alleyway) in downtown Hamilton that probably has the largest selection of guitars and other musical instruments in Bermuda.

Big music fan.

There’s a fella called Vernon Douglas that sells musical instruments.

be prepared to pay a lot though. you'd be better off bringing a guitar from home, even if you have to pay extra baggage fees.

For what it's worth....there's a 22.25% HM Customs import tariff (wholesale) on Musical Instruments coming into Bermuda (plus extraordinary shipping costs)...and this adds substantially to local retail prices.

Bermuda is '..Another World..'...'..Jewel of the Atlantic..'...with an entirely unsympathetic tax collector at her gates.

Music Box in downtown Hamilton on Reid Street is highly recommended.
