Hi there

Probably best you post any future questions in the Torremolinos Forum as that's where La Carihuela is :)

Tbh, in response to your questions, there are so many great places to eat but they're all in close proximity to each other. You've got Spanish, Dutch, Tapas Bars, Chiriniguito's (beach cafe's) etc etc... the choice is endless. Shame you're not coming next month as you would have experienced the Dia Del Pescaito - day of the fish.

However, July is still perfect and a great place to go.

As for shopping, it really depends what kind of things you're looking for - it's more of a foodie's paradise as well as the amazing beach of course, but as for shopping and malls etc, Plaza Mayor would be your nearest - hop on the train and you're there in no time.... but you can't get much more there that you cant get at home.

If you're looking gifts for home etc, then Playa Miguel Street in Torremolinos has plenty of shops, but there are a few in Carihuela itself.

Ah ok, well just before you get to BK at the marina then that's effectively the boundary between Torre and Benalmadena - just for info :) So you'd be in Montemar then and about a ten minute walk further towards Torre you'll get to La Carihuela.. If you only 5 mins away you'll probably be in Montemar then, unless you're 20ft tall and walk in big strides lol !

Found out the name of the apts ,the Neptune ,it's a private rental and it look spot on ,so I now have a better idea of where we are ,last time in benal,we staye at the benal beach ,that was 6 years ago,so I would think things have changed a bit, used to head to bonanza sqr,and further up to aryo ,looking forward to July

The Neptune is next to Hotel Barracuda, so it's in Montemar-Bajo. Very easy for Benal Marina one way and not too far to La Carihuela the other way, plus plenty going on on your doorstep. M-Bajo has changed quite a bit recently, and now offers much more than it used to.
