You could try one of the Chinese shops or alternatively one of the larger supermarkets might sell it, Mercadona/Carrefour - must be honest I've only ever been to people's BBQ's in Spain, never hosted one myself LOL !! You need to ask for: Carbón de leña - the last word is pronounced "lenya" as the "n" is "nya" as in "Mañana" ;-)

Good luck.

There's a SuperSol close to where you are staying which has a fresh meat counter and an in-store bakery.

If you are on the opposite side of the dual carriageway to the Triton, and you ane facing the Triton, turn to your left. It's only a short distance along the main N340 road in the Torremolinos direction.

I've seen charcoal for sale in the big SuperSol in Arroyo but never in this one.

Check that it's a charcoal one, many people (like us) binned all that ages ago and use a bombona.
