Help Please :-)

Hi,

I have not been to Salou since 2006, and would like to go back this year, has it changed a lot in that time?

Also the place we used to stay seems to have gone, so any reccomendations on accommodation to would be great.

Many thanks for any help folks :-)

What kind of place are you looking for Croc? All inclusive or self catering and what kind of rating? Where did you stay before? It might have just changed name :)

4 star accommodation - H10 salauris palace(If you want half board best choice)

3 Star accommodation - Golden Avenida aparthotel

There are a few changes in Salou such as the PortAventura Park, which has a new sesame street area. Gold river Portaventura hotel opened about 2 years ago. The older fountain called Font lluminosa has been updated. Salou has a local theatre for cultural events, etc. Lumine golf club was previously called PortAventura Golf(Opened in 2008 and still owned by PortAventura) and has updated their beach club. Another subway restaurant salou c/ bilbao no. 4. Casa de las Costillas salou Ribs restaurant opened November 2010. Catalan Farmhouse re-opened after a few reforms to the area. There has been a few changes at hotels with name changes and refurbishments such as Sol Piramide to MedPlaya Pirimade. As for bars i seem to remember there been changes to the Charlie Chaplin's street since 2006. The airport has been updated since you came to Salou last with new arrivals and departure lounge. La pineda now has a 5 star hotel called Gran Palas.

Furius baco opened in PortAventura in 2007. Rover's Return closed down and opened up as a Spanish Disco. There is a Rover's return in Salou but this is a name change and not anyway affiliated with Rover's return that exisisted years ago. Patrick's lounge has taken over the temple bar while the temple bar has moved.

Yes the resort is still family friendly with many bars catering for families and also the Water parks and a theme park still catering for families as well. There is also a new area opened this year with zip lines, a climbing wall and paintball called Bosc Aventura Salou.
