the piramide should be better its a 4 star hotel in a central area and the reviews have been excellent over the last year. the cye salou is a 3 star apartment block in the centre of salou but the price must be a massive difference.

Hi,

I've never been to the piramide but have stayed at the cye 4 times,

The Cye apartments are nice ,spacious and clean, They are self catering and a small kitchenette is in the apartment, you can also hire a toaster and kettle if you need.

The rooms do differ very slightly some have baths and some have shower cubicles, The bathrooms are very clean though and they have a regular maid service (twice per week)

Entertainment is downstairs in the adjoining lazy wave bar which have regular quizes, karaoke, bingo etc... they also serve food here but most people just have the light bites or snacks/meal of the day

Location is very good, Cye apartments are located next to the Plaza Europa roundabout and have bus stops outside for most destinations as well as the trenet road train.

The beach is about 200 metres away down ave.andorra which is the home to some restaurants such as 'the brown cow', 'robin hood' and 'fox and hounds' also the 'bus stop' and '007' bars are located here

If your room is located on the road side it can get a little loud sometimes due to the previous mentioned bars.

From the outside it does look like it could do with a lick of paint but overall if you just want somewhere to get your head down for the night, the cye is a good choice, I guess it just comes down to cost. - You could always book through alpharooms and if you use quidco first you'll get some cashback too

Hi,

We went to the Piramide last September for a week and had a fantastic time. There is nothing I can say to fault the hotel. Entertainment for the kids if fab, the rooms are spotless and the food is beautiful.

We enjoyed it so much that we are returning there again in September for 2 weeks.....can't wait!!!! :)

We stayed in the piramide when it was a sol hotel a few years back and it was good for location and food was fine. Its been taken over by medplaya now so cant give a review on them. We have had a look around the cye apartments reception and bar below and it looks ok if not a bit basic. Cye has a great location depending on how much noise you hear from traffic as the main bus stop is outside so dont expect sunbathing at the pool in silence!

It is a 2 min walk from the beach and bus to Portaventura is at the front door so depends what your looking for.
