Halfboard or just bed and breakfast?

I am going in two weeks to PDI and debating whether to go for half board or B&B. The half board will costs me c. £60 (EUR75) per night (family of 2 adults and 3 kids) and it looks decent on the hotel's website. But I am not sure if I want to eat every night in the hotel or can find decent options in town at similar budget. Any idea how much a meal will cost roughly? Doesn't have to be 3 course a la carte, local traditional food is good as well. Can you recommend restaurants suitable for kids (age 4 to 11)? Many thanks

Hi & welcome to the forums!

For restaurant recommendations, please tell us which hotel you will be staying at. That way forum readers can recommend restaurants near to you rather than possibly over the other side of town...

I recommend to check with the hotel if they offer the dinner buffet also for walk in guests or for halfboard only.

For example the Lopesan 5* hotels in Maspalomas charge 20 Euro per adult for dinner, cheaper for kids.

Other hotels may charge less.

It is 15 euro for adult and 8 for children. They also have some special at the moment such as pay for three meals and get another one free.

This makes it a deal not to book half board.... 54 Euro vs. 75 Euro even without the deal. Easy choice.
