Just down the road above the Safari Shopping Centre ,above the shops are lots of great places to eat .I love Tenerife Wok ,Chinese buffet ( eat as much as you like) a tad more expensive than others at 12.95 Euros PP.

BUT ....they use such food items as Lobster ,huge prawns etc ,they also have a fantastic Sushi selection ,and Canarian food items like Serrano Ham ......

Once you have found the Safari shopping Centre ,the shop furthest from your place of stay is ZARAS ,just over the road is Vista Sur shopping centre .Keep left of it and head down the slope on to the sea front walk way .Head left when facing the sea .After two kiosks on your left ,the disabled section of beach on your right you will then come to the San Telmo area of bars and restaurants that tier up from the walk way to road level .Here a link to places there ....

http://www.ccsantelmo.com/eng/shops.hml

Favourites there are ....Habib ( Lebonese /Middle eastern ) SlowBoat 2 ( Chinese that was my choice before Tenerife Wok but still very good ) and The WaterMelon heres a link ....

…tenerife.co.uk/watermelon-restaurant/#comme…

For Breakfasts ,there are many and everyone has a place they prefer ,we just love El Cedros under Parque Santiago 2 ....2 eggs ,2 bacon, sausage, beans 2 toast butter and jam ,cup of coffee or pot of tea 2.85 Euros .

Route .....from PS 3 head to PS4 ,then from either go across to Villa Cortez and carry straight on you will pass on your right Parque Club Europe hotel and La Siesta after which on your left is PS1 and then PS2

Hope these get you started

Heres a map link ,a tad old but one of the clearest to read .Each square takes 10 mins to cross .The black and white route along the coast is the sea front walkway ,along which you can walk through the other south resorts .

tenerifetravel.com/maps/southtenerife_large.…

So to get you started ....The Safari Centre is now bigger than the map link shows and stretches to opposite Vista Sur ,San Telmo and what imo is the best beach in the area is Playa Las Vistas in Square E9 .The hotels mentioned in post1 along with yours(C 8 D8 ) are listed so you can find your way round from the map ,so hopefully those members giving you their places they love to eat can give you an idea where they are ...............

The already mentioned El Cedros and Slowboat2 are definitely worth a visit.Montanas which is virtually next door to El Cedros is another place we like. Also had a few nice meals from the Aberdeen Steakhouse at The Patch, though we found other branches not so good. Oh and if you fancy a takeaway to eat back at the apartment then the chip shop outside the Las Palmeras hotel does tasty fish n chips.

Firstly Thank You TA for opening up this post .

@ Carwyn and Natmag ......old age guys and it was a mistake !!!

@ Lisa s ......also on "THE PATCH " ( which is as explained runs from La Siesta to Colon2 ) is if you like Italian " Tony Romas "just after La Siesta .

New kid on the block ...just after Colon2 you will come to a bank on the corner .Straight over the road is " The House Restaurant " ,opened in August ,we went in there in Sept and Oct .Fantastic service ,excellent food .And their NON Pushy PR is a credit to them ,

You know the old perfume store on the corner before Travelers Rest / Leonardos ,its there .Dont know what they did or said ,but although the main area of seating is outside not a lookie looky ,or Chinese seller ventures in !!! Delightful

Tenerife Wok is open all day ..........we went in about 8.30 /9 pm ,its massive ,so big i could get trigger right up to the table and it not be in anyones way .I dont eat lots of types of Chinese food because they use MSG ( and thats all Chinese Restaurants ) So i am careful in what i have .I loved this place of course as in any restaurant its down to individual likes .

I know its more expensive at 12.95 PP ,however the overall bill including drinks for 4 was 7 euros more that other Chinese at 8.95 !!

Reviews well we all know places get their knockers ,many who have never been in !!!
