las americas in sept

Hi, me and a mate have booked to go to las americas on 9th sept, was just wondering what the nightlife is like there now, I went back in 2010 but was with an ex and didn't do much clubbing, ppl have said alot of the bars have closed down now is this true? Also we are stopping at las floritas has anybody stayed there?

Thanks,

Steven

Some bars close, new bars open. The same as before. You will have a bit of a walk to the bars from where you are staying but at least it should be quiet at night there.

Veronicas and starcos still have plenty of bars open at night.

Las floritas is in a good location your only 10 mins walk home from the clubbing area

your apts are in grid D7, to pass a few bars on the way to veronicas, come out the apts and turn right at the corner turn right again, and walk down past the hotel coloumbus, to the bottom turning right will take you to veronicas/starcos

outside your apts is the whisky jar, nice little pub does basic but good English food, on the road down past the coloumbus is the anchor bar, giddy goose, then at the bottom turn right and there's the travellers rest and leonardos.

or out of las floritas turn right cross the road and keep walking straight, you will pass the Andorra apts on a corner just after this is the strip a row of bars, that most have evening entertainment on, the bulls head is popular for the live group the vagabonds, billy porter a comedian is on at the corner bar on a thur and is funny, there's a soul bar, it's worth going down here for an hour before going to veronicas.

Walk down the strip to the end to the corner bar, and turn left onto the pedestranised walkway you will come out facing the blue hotel turn right here, and your at the safari centre which on the top tier has some good cocktail bars.

Each square on the map takes about 10 mins to cross, less for some people, but it's worth going down to the bars to have a look.

Another good late night out, but not in veronicas is the Dubliner it only gets started around midnight it's on the corner in the cc Americanos just before the las palmeras hotel grid D7, you go down the stairs to it, but it can be jumping till 5 in the morning, above it is gaelic corner.

cheap supermarket to get your beer from for during the day is just on the corner under the coloumbus hotel, out las floritas turn right and right again.

coming back from veronicas/starcos, you can walk up the road past the gala hotel and at the top turn right, but your not passing bars this way, althought there is a good 24 hour kebab shop on this block.

Be careful in veronicas it's like everywhere there will be pickpockets, so leave those £500 I phones in the safe and only take out what cash you need, and split it up in your pockets.

Also on the way home, you maybe accosted by the ladies of the night, they will try and offer you (what ladies of the night are supposed to do) but all they want to do is rob you, which is why it's best to leave your phone back in the apt and be on your guard for them.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
