hole in the wall banks

hi everyone. just after some advice on using hole in the walls in playa de las americas. do they charge you for using them and also what kind of rates would you expect to get from them? thanks for any help

The ATM dispenser won't charge you but depending on which bank in the UK you have your account with, then they probably will. You need to check with your bank.

also, let your bank know that you will be using your card in tenerife, as some banks will not authorise the transactions if you haven't told them

If you are planning to use a debit card to withdraw money from a cashpoint in Tenerife the cheapest way is to withdraw 300 euros at a time.

With all charges added in the rate you get is approx. 4-5 cents less than the interbank bank rate.

So if doing it today you would get 1.22 euros to the pound.

If offered the money in euros or converted into pounds take the EURO rate dont convert, it costs you more.
