Tubing

I'm taking my family tubing in July. My daughter (30 yrs.) has been on chemo and tires very easily, she is definately due to have some fun. I have never been down to the river so I don't know which place or part of the river would be best.for her. She can't walk for too long of a distance , but sitting in the tube should be fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Trish.

Comal River. In your case the San marcos River might be better.

Toobing the Comal or Guadalupe Rivers:

The lower Guadalupe tends to have 20 somethings and lots of drinking. It has shallows and rapids and slow deep water. I would get a tube with a bottom for this trip.

The Comal, has a slightly older crowd, and slightly less drinking. It runs through a pretty urban (by river standards - houses and condos.) It has deep water so very little danger of bumping your bottom and a cement tube chute that is loads of fun.

I agee with the other posters about opting for The Comal. It is a lot less work and less crowded. I find it to be much more relaxing.

Comal river it has 3 exits. So u can decided how long you want to float. Also there are shuttles 2 the entrance and from the exit.
