Loving my stay in Kanab ... where to get wine?

it has been 2 days of oour trip and we are all loving every minute of it in Kanab. We were completely floored by the canyons at Zion, especially the serenity at Big Bend. Wish we spent more time, but had to leave because of the road closures.

I found out that the local groceries (Honey's and Glaziers) don't sell wine and the gas stations don't carry wine. A local liquor store closes at 6? Where can we find some wine for a quiet dinner at the townhome that we are staying? Is Fredonia the choice?

Thank you

It seems the Kanab liquor store closes at 7, not 6? But that is probably all you'll find in Kanab. NOTE! it is also closed Sundays. I don't know if Fredonia has a liquor store but I assume it does; Arizona liquor laws are MUCH different than Utah.

Your choice at the moment would be to drive to Fredonia and MAYBE get some wine, or purchase wine at the ONLY liquor store in Kanab *before 7*.

And good luck on getting GOOD wine in Kanab. If it is anything like our local liquor store you'll be stuck with what they have on hand.

Try the Buckskin Tavern in Fredonia, I think they also sell package liquor.

I know I had wine with dinner at Grandma Tina's Cafe and the Rocking V Cafe.

Why don't you ask them if they can sell you a bottle?

Hi --

I will be arriving in Kanab this Saturday, October 9th, to spend a week volunteering at Best Friends. Were you able to locate wine for sale in Kanab or did you have to go to Fredonia? Did you try Rocking V or the package liquor store?

Thanks for your help!

Dear Travel Lover...

If you want wine, can you buy it before you arrive in town?

What ciites and states will you be in before arrival at Kanab? What route?

I will be flying into St. George and driving to Kanab from there. Any suggestions for stopping along the way? I don't want to wander too far off the course, as I am traveling solo and don't want to get lost....

Thanks for your help!

In St George are two stores, just select St George from the city list on the left.

It looks like one is just wine.

I would get anything you want there, but pay attention to their hours.
