Christmas skiing

Our family is looking to ski at Christmas. Last year we were told that Snowbird has the best & most December snow. But last year was pretty wild up there. What's it like in a year?

Generally all of the Utah resorts have good snow at the holidays. Yes, Snowbird (and neighboring Alta) are the highest elevation and generally have more snow. But I wouldn't build your resort decision "just" around that. While it's always determined by local conditions in that given year, you can pretty much book with confidence at any Utah resort.

How are the crowds between Christmas and New Years? We are looking to go December 27 - January 5; however we don't want to spend the whole time waiting in line. My memories (20 years ago...) of skiing in the Rockies was that lines were minimal - but I know all things change!

Thanks for letting me ask this question regarding Christmas skiing - I hope it doesn't hijack the thread.

You should post this new, not tag onto another thread. Will be more productive.
