Inexpensive but clean accomodations

We will be in the Burlington area, New Haven, on Thanksgiving weekend. Looking for clean and reasonably priced accomodations. Have looked at the Super 8 or Days Inn. Any suggestions?

New Haven, VT is about 40-45 minutes south of Burlington. Have you considered lodging in Middlebury, which is 5 minues south of New Haven?

In Burlington, the Days Inn on Shelburne Road would be a good bet. Also try the Countryside Motel in Shelburne-they may only be a seasonal operation, but worth a try.

In Middlebury, there are a couple mom & pop motels-the Greystone being one of them.

Have you been to the Greystone lately? My parents owned both the Greystone and the Blue Spruce back in the early 80's. (clean and comfortable)

We stayed at the Blue Spruce in '07 and it was just horrible. They hadn't done any upgrading in the last 20+ years.

We don't mind the drive from Burlington, as we spend the days with my parents and they retire pretty early at night, so that gives us free time to be in the city! Love Burlington, it is alot like Portland, ME.

Try looking up RoomSaver.com for possible cheaper accomodation rates.
