Best Scenic Route Burlington to Quebec City?

We will be arriving this weekend to head up to Quebec City for a few days. What route would you suggest for nice drive? I was thinking of going up 89 into Canada, but don't know where to go from there. We will drive the Kings Rd from Quebec to Montreal later in the week and wanted to take a route south of the river to head up to Quebec. Would be cool to stop off and taste some Vermont cheese or maple syrup along the way, too.

Any recommendations? Thanks :)

Honestly, much of the area in southern Quebec is not all that interesting, the terrain is rather flat, fairly characterless farmlands/corn fields. There are exceptions, but if it were me, I wouldn't cross at 89 into Quebec. Instead, I'd take I-91 toward Newport/Derby Line area, and cross the border there. There are some quaint towns in that area , especially around Lake Massawippi.

Quebec City itself is fabulous, even if much of the drive isn't much to write home about.

Great! Thanks for the tip! I was thinking that 91 might be an option. I will certainly take that route now. Thanks!
