Columbus Day Weekend in Burlington?

Curious what Columbus Day Weekend is like in Burlington...given that Monday seems to be a "semi holiday" with some people getting it off, some not, etc. Is it generally busy or quiet that weekend? UVM in session or on a fall break? Holiday/limited or normal operating hours for stores, restaurants, buses on Monday? Any color would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's a BUSY weekend. One of the busiest of the year, since that's generally around the peak foliage time. All stores, hotels and restaurants will be open and doing a rushing business. Many hotels & B&Bs are booked months in advance, though the Hilton and Marriott probably have some rooms left downtown.
