The Vermont Trailsways bus service to Manchester was cut sometime between March 2005 and March 2006. We have a family weekend up there, and I was able to fly from Baltimore to Albany and catch the bus in 2005, but that service was not available in this year. Instead, family driving up from New Jersey picked me up at the Albany airport.

Can't help with the transportation issue, but I can make some restaurant suggestions. I've eaten at the Sirloin Saloon 3 times in the past month and it is EXCELLENT. They have a great salad bar, homemade bread and very good steaks (be sure to use the maple pepper on your steak - it sounds weird, but is really good). The early bird special is an incredible value.

If you want a very elegant dinner, try Bistro Henry. Reservations are essential on the weekends, but the dishes are traditional French bistro with a flair. It's a little far to walk, though.

I want to thank VT mom for her travel suggestions as I've been looking into public transportation options and this info. looks very good.
