snow at xmas

Can anyone tell me if there is snow in the Stowe area over xmas time? We are travelling from a long way away to show the kids snow and to learn to ski but am worried we travel very far and no snow!

Generally there is plenty of snow in Stowe, especially on the ski slopes.

However, if you seek a 100% guarantee, it can't be given. I'd say the chances are 95%, however.

There will be snow. If there is no natural snow, the ski area has the ability to make snow (assuming it's cold enough). You and your kids will have a great time!!

Expect snow of some sort or know that global warming is worse than expected.

There is generally snow around Stowe, 95% is a good figure. If it's a tough year, you can drive to the nearby mountians and that will rise to 98%. Jay Peak and Killington are both within an hour's drive and are among the most reliable options for xmas skiing.
