Which hotel/inn..Topnotch, Grn Mtn Inn, Stowehof or Stn Hill

Hello all,

We decided to do a last minute getaway for one night and cant decide between these four places: green mountain inn, topnotch, stone hill inn or stowehoff. They are all offering deals this wkd. TN offers a welcoming gift, free tree or wreath, breakfast and luxury accommodations for $213 and I think GMI has rooms for around $175. We originally wanted to stay in town so we can walk around to shops, bar, and not have to drive to dinner. I am curious how often and late the shuttle runs from TN. Is it better to stay in town or other places? We will not be skiing but planning and cutting down Christmas tree the following day. Besides location, we would like updated accommodations and lounge area. Thanks for your help. Plan to make choice in morning,

Thanks,

Stephanie

I'd scratch the Stowehof off your list. I stayed there about 2 years ago and I felt like I was at my grandmothers house. NOTHING had been updated since the 50s I don't think!

The Green Mountain Inn is really nice and is right in town so you'll be able to walk to shops & restaurants.

The Topnotch is great as well but up Mountain Road a bit. It's got the spa which is a plus.
