Best Snorkeling Trip??

We are coming to Ko Chang in a couple of weeks and would like to go on a snorkeling trip. From reading the posts it seems there are lots of tours to the nearby islands. Can anyone who has been on these tours recommend a trip or knows where the best place to snorkel is??

Many Thanks

Take the 5 Islands speedboat trip. It goes to best snorkel spots at the small islands around Koh Rang (Kra, Loan, Yuk) and then to Koh Wai, where not so good.

The tours all go to pretty much the same islands. Speedboat tours are good if you want to cut down on travelling time, slow boats if you want to stretch your legs, see the views, have a conversation when you are on the way to the islands. If you have young kids or old folks with you then take a slow boat. Older kids will enjoy the speedboat ride.

All the snorkelling is off the boat except at Koh Wai. ( Although most of the speedboat trips make a stop for lunch on the large island of Koh Rang where there are small beaches where you can see a few fish.) And most trips will also stop at Koh Wai which is a good place for very young kids asyou can see loads of fish from the pier and can walk out from the beach and stand in the water and feed the fish easily.

Day trips - Slow boat for around 600 baht/person. Speedboat for around 1200. Fancy slow boat for 1500 baht - you pay more for fewer passengers & western food. Go to any tour agency when you are here and you'll see the flyers for the boat trips.
