Things to do with baby (11 month old)

We are going to Koh Chang at the end of February for 14 days with our 11 month old boy and was wondering if anyone have any tips about what things there is to do around Koh Chang with a small bub?

Any other tips about staying in Koh Chang with a baby is much appreciated.

You can do pretty much the same as you can with a larger size child. It depends far more on the parents than the child. We've had guests who did nothing but sit in the shade with their baby all day and others who went out and did what they would have normally done but just adapted it a bit.

So based on what they have done and what we've done with twin niece & nephew when they were a year old and on the island . . .

Go on a snokelling trip but one person has obviously has to look after the baby. And when you stop on Koh Wai you can snorkel off the beach so baby can sit in the water and see fish up close with you.

Go to the elephant camp but just to feed the elephants and stroke them, maybe best not to balance them on top of an elephant..

Go to Klong Plu waterfall, nice walk, but need to carry the baby all the way, path not suitable for pushchairs. Path is in the shade by the river.

An hour on the beach late afternoon, splashing around, playing with sand etc . That will knock them out for the night. The 12 month old baby of a Russian couple I have known for a few years could just about swim after they spent 2 months here, she went to the beach that often - only early morning & late afternoon though, not when it is too hot.

Babies seem to love chilled watermelon with the seeds taken out, Makes a good mess too.

Also if you go to any restaurant you'll have plenty of free child minders on hand. Just hand the baby over to one of the waitresses to play with and you can enjoy your meal in peace & without interruption. You might find baby disappears and does a tour of the restaurant and kitchen being petted by pretty much every staff member.

End of February will be warming up towards the hottest time of year - March through April, so be very careful on that.

Have fun
