Where to stay on Naxos?

Trying to figure out a nice but not expensive place to stay for 3 nights late June. We are in our late 50's/early 60's. Like the "local scene" and nice beaches. Any recommendations regarding locales and hotels/studios/B & B's?

PS Where is St George? Can't find it on my map but have read that it is nice.

St. George is in the outskirts of town and is excellent if you like to be in the proximity of the best choice of restaurant and tavernas, - all over town is walkable within 10 - 15 minutes from this area.

In this area you will also find a wide choice of hotels, studios & BB's.

Agia Anna... and Agios Georgios...

We really liked Hotel Glaros. It is steps to the beach and only about a 10 minute fairly level walk to restaurants, shops etc. I believe they will send a car to pick you up at the port if you arrange ahead (we walked) and it is very reasonably priced.

@ Tzina : Think you have mentioned Oniro studios before ;)

There are other options around. Please note that if you have any commercial interest related related to the place you mention you should refrain from making publicity on this site.

Think there are other sites where you can make publicity more efficiently.

We've stayed at Hotel Asteria a few times on Naxos. Right on St George beach, lovely views and nice people. It's a quick and easy walk into town.
