Welcome to Sicily ZiggyStardust2010!
Since towns are linked with the major town in the area, and Catania offers the optimal transport connections, it may seem counter-intuitive to travel via Catania, but at times, it’s the most reliable service with the shortest connection.
Find other options – From Ragusa to Enna via Caltagirone/PiazzaArmerina by bus?:
No, there's nothing direct by public transport, you'll need to change bus in Catania. there was a very limited bus service from Siracusa (AST company) but it's less reliable, and I don't even know if they still run now.
Yes, there is no direct service - If you don't connect in Catania, you could also connect via Gela and Caltagirone, but beware Sunday schedules.
