cala bona hotel

never been to Majorca and thinking about the Cala Bona Hotel for a break.

please could you let me know your thoughts on it, seems a quiet area, and ideal for walking around the towns nearby.

what about public transport just in case I decide to go further afield.

sea view room and bed and breakfast enough, from what I have read plenty of places to eat and drink of course.

grateful for your views.

The Cala Bona hotel is in a fabulous position overlooking the harbour. Sea view rooms are the best. Cala Bona itself is quiet, laid back and easy going but there are hotels that have entertainment in the evening and there are plenty of bars/restaurants too. Cala Millor is a 10/15 minutes stroll away along a pedestrianised walk (shared with cycles) that has a fantastic beach and many more shops/bars/restaurants and is busier especially in the evenings. There are no clubs to speak of (one in Cala Millor) so there are no large groups of people hanging around. Boats leave the harbour for trips up and down the coast and there are cycle hire shops if you want some exercise! Son Serva has a market (Fridays I think) that is a walk away.

We have been to the Cala Bona hotel a number of times and its location can't be beaten.A sea view room is a must. You wake up to see the resort coming alive. The food is very good as we have been half board and were pleasanty surprised with choice and quality of food. On the balcony you have great views of all that is happening in and around the harbour.A short walk takes you to other parts of the resort.
