prepaid travel money card

Hi everyone

I'm going to calas de mallorca at the end of may for the first time.

Can anyone tell me if its worth my while taking a travel money card such as the one the post office provides?

I'm worried about carrying alot of euros but I'd hate to get to CDM and not be able to withdraw euros or pay anywhere using the card.

Id be greatful for any advice!

Happy holidays :)

We travel with 2 pre paid cards, We just start with about €200 on each and top up from our online bank account when needed. Can be used anywhere that accepts Mastercard payments - I have FairFX card.

I have used the Caxton fx euro card for many years and in several countries.

No charges for withdrawing euros from ATMs or paying hotel / restaurant bills.

The card is free , easy to load and gives a decent exchange rate.

Thoroughly recomend.

Thanks for the advice.

I haven't been abroad many times so unsure.

Will there be plenty of cash machines in CDM I can withdraw cash from? Thanks again

Hi

I've traveled around Europe with the PO Euro card and have had no problems at all with it. It costs only the fee that the ATM charges which is usually around 2 Euros which is a lot cheaper than using your debit card. You can also pay in shops with it which is free. It works like a ordinary debit card, so you can even check your balance at the ATM. It is easy to set up and load from anywhere in the world. I also had no problems with the dollar card in the US. Have a nice holiday.

Hi

Surely that could happen anywhere even with your debit card in your own country?
